ené has been playing gigs for almost 20 years. He was a founding member of the Tallahassee southern-soul-funk band Uptown Rudy (and several other acts) and logged many nights on the stages of Potbellies and Floyd's around FSU in the mid-nineties. ("I've been blessed with the opportunity to play with many of the best musicians to come out of and through Tallahassee!")

He relocated to Central Florida after a stint in LA, where he played with several singer-songwriters and even a hip-hop orchestra (yes, there is such a thing). René has played in the Orlando area with biker rockers Knucklefish, the dance party band Any Day Kings, and was heard most recently playing and singing alternative tunes from the 80's with Shadow Cabinet. He is obviously comfortable in all kinds of musical environments.

He met the boys from Iced Down in 2009 through a variety of mutual friends and musicians. "I have a blast every time I play with these guys! The community of fans, musician friends and family around this group is truly special. You really never know what will happen at one of our shows or who will show up to sit in. It's fun to be a part of something that brings so many terrific people together!"
